Need a Peak Performance State For The Bar Exam? Try this!
Hi Friends,
This is one of my favorite ways of creating a quick and effective peak performance state. Check it out and let me know how it works for you!
Think about past successes
This technique is so flexible that you can use it anywhere: in the car on the way to your exam, during breaks, or just before a test. It is based on research showing that you can improve confidence and performance in the present just by thinking about past successes.
When you need peak performance resources, think about obstacles you have overcome in the past. Think about the things you are proud of and the successes you have experienced.
In times of stress, it can be difficult to remember your great successes. If you have trouble thinking of examples, ask a family member or friend. You can also make a habit of jotting them down when they come to mind. That way, you can always refer to your success list.
You can enhance the effectiveness of recalling past successes by saying them out loud. If you are in an exam, imagine your successes – make your imagery as vivid and life-like as possible.
